Warhammer 40,000: Gladius, Relics of War is a solid hex-based wargame on its own, but the DLC packs are where the variety lives. New units, new gameplay modes, new ways to get chewed up by the AI on a higher difficulty setting.

How to buy a gift card on our store

The purchase flow is straightforward. We are an independent reseller, so you are buying codes through us, not directly from the publisher or any platform holder.

How to redeem your code

Gladius is available on multiple platforms, and the redemption process depends on where you own the base game. The most common scenario is Steam.

Redeeming on Steam

1. Open the Steam client and log into your account.
2. Click on your account name in the top right and select Account details.
3. Click on Add funds to your Steam Wallet or Activate a product on Steam, depending on the code type.
4. If activating a product, click Next, agree to the terms, and enter your code exactly as received.
5. Confirm the activation and let Steam process it.
6. Check your library to confirm the DLC is now installed or queued.

For wallet credit codes, the balance appears immediately and you can then purchase the DLC directly from the Gladius store page.

Redeeming on GOG

1. Go to the GOG website and log into your account.
2. Navigate to your account settings and find the Redeem code section.
3. Enter the code we sent you and click Continue.
4. Confirm the redemption and check your game shelf for the new content.

GOG codes work the same way for wallet credit and for direct DLC activation, depending on what you purchased.

A few things worth knowing

Make sure you own the base game before redeeming any DLC code. The packs will not activate without Warhammer 40,000: Gladius, Relics of War already on your account. I have seen people buy a pack, try to redeem it, and hit a wall because they assumed the DLC was standalone. It is not.

Also, double-check which platform your code is for before you buy. A Steam code will not work on GOG, and vice versa. The product page on our store makes this clear, but it is easy to skim past if you are in a hurry.

Codes do not expire, so there is no rush to redeem them the second they arrive. Some people like to stock up during sales and hold onto codes for later. That works fine.

Which pack should you start with

It adds a single powerful neutral unit that roams the map and can wreck early-game armies if you are not careful. From there, the Assault Pack and Reinforcement Pack at about 3 USD each give you the most bang for your buck in terms of new units to play with across factions.

The Escalation Pack at about 6 USD is the one I would save for last. It is the most expensive and the mechanics it introduces make the most sense once you have a few campaigns under your belt and understand the core loop. Jumping straight into escalation on your first playthrough can feel overwhelming.
