eSIM Portugal

Make sure your device supports eSIM and is unlocked for use with other carriers. Compatible devices include iPhone XS and newer, Google Pixel 3+, Samsung Galaxy S20+ and a number of other modern smartphones.

After payment, check your email: within the stated delivery time you will receive a message with a QR code and installation instructions. We recommend installing the eSIM in advance, before your trip, while you have a stable Wi-Fi connection.

Open your device settings and add a new plan: on iOS — Settings → Cellular / Mobile Data → Add Plan; on Android (Samsung) — Settings → Connections → SIM Card Manager → Add Mobile Plan; on Android (Pixel) — Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Download a SIM instead.

Point your phone camera at the QR code on another device's screen or on a printed copy. The eSIM profile will download automatically. If scanning is not possible, enter the details manually (the SM-DP+ address and activation code from the email).

On arrival in Portugal, turn on data roaming in your device settings and select eSIM Portugal as your mobile data source. The plan's validity period starts from the moment of first connection to the network.
