How to activate the code

  1. 1

    Make sure your Nintendo account country is set to the European region (EU). The code is valid only for EU country accounts and certain European countries — activation on an account from another region is not possible.

    Make sure the base version of The Legend of Zelda™: Tears of the Kingdom is already activated on your account: this code is an Upgrade Pack for Nintendo Switch™ 2 and requires the original game.

    On the Nintendo Switch 2 home screen, select Nintendo eShop and sign in to the correct account.

    In the left menu, select "Redeem Code".

  5. 5

    Enter the 16-character download code from your order email.

  6. 6

    Press "OK" to confirm. The Upgrade Pack will be added to your library and the download will begin.

  7. 7

    Via browser: open https://ec.nintendo.com/redeem/#/ and select "Sign in". Enter your Nintendo account email and password (or make sure the correct account is shown in the top-right corner).

  8. Enter the 16-character code and press "Next". If prompted, re-enter your account password and press "Redeem" to complete activation.
