How to top up your Banglalink account from anywhere
Why people need Banglalink top-ups outside Bangladesh
If you have family in Bangladesh using Banglalink, or you keep a SIM active for trips back home, running out of credit at the wrong moment is a familiar headache. Maybe your mother's data expired mid-video call. Maybe a colleague in Dhaka needs airtime to reach you before a meeting. These things happen at inconvenient hours, and local scratch cards are not an option when you are sitting in another country.
That is where we come in. We sell digital recharge codes for Banglalink, delivered to your email, and you can apply them to any Banglalink number in minutes. No physical card. No waiting on a shop to open. No calling a relative to run an errand.
What you can buy and roughly what it costs
We carry two categories on our store: general credit, which is airtime you can use for calls, SMS, or data at standard rates, and data-specific credit that applies a packaged data bundle to the number. Here is the full lineup.
For general credit, you can get BDT 125 for about 1 USD, BDT 250 for about 2 USD, BDT 500 for about 4 USD, BDT 750 for about 7 USD, or BDT 1000 for about 9 USD. For data credit, BDT 129 gets you 3GB valid for 7 days at about 1 USD. BDT 489 gets you 30GB valid for 30 days at about 5 USD. BDT 1599 gets you 75GB at about 15 USD.
Prices fluctuate with exchange rates, so treat every figure as approximate. What stays constant is the denomination in BDT that actually lands on the phone.
How to buy and apply a recharge
The process is simple, but I will walk through it so there are no surprises. You pick a product, pay, and receive a code by email. Then you or the person using the phone enters that code on the Banglalink number.
- Go to the Banglalink section on our store and choose either general credit or a data package.
- Select the denomination you want and add it to your cart.
- Enter your email address carefully, because that is where the recharge code will be sent.
- Complete payment at checkout. We accept standard payment methods listed on the site.
- Check your inbox for the code from us. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, look in your spam folder before contacting support.
- On the Banglalink phone, dial the recharge code exactly as provided in the email. For data packages, follow any additional instructions included in the message.
- Wait for a confirmation SMS from Banglalink confirming the credit or data bundle has been applied.
That confirmation SMS is your proof it worked. If you do not get one within a minute or two, try the code again or reach out to us.
Picking the right denomination
The choice between general credit and a data package depends on what the person actually needs. If they make a lot of voice calls and send texts, general credit gives them flexibility to spend it however they want. The BDT 500 option at about 4 USD is a popular middle ground for someone who just needs to stay reachable for a couple of weeks.
If data is the priority, and for most people in Bangladesh it is, the packaged bundles offer better value per gigabyte than pay-as-you-go rates. The 3GB for 7 days option at about 1 USD is good for short-term needs, like topping up a number before a weekend of video calls. The 30GB for 30 days bundle at about 5 USD is what I would pick for a parent or relative who uses WhatsApp and browses daily. The 75GB option at about 15 USD suits a heavy user or a household sharing one hotspot.
Things to watch out for
A few practical points worth knowing before you buy.
- Double-check the Banglalink number before you apply the code. Once credit or a data bundle lands on a number, it cannot be reversed.
- Data packages have expiry windows. The 3GB bundle lasts 7 days, the 30GB bundle lasts 30 days. Unused data expires after that window closes.
- If you are buying for someone else, you can forward the email or read the code to them. They enter it on their own phone.
- Keep the original email until you see the confirmation SMS from Banglalink. It is your receipt if anything goes wrong.
If something goes wrong
Most recharges go through without a hitch. Occasionally a code will not apply, or the email will not arrive, or the number was entered incorrectly. When that happens, write to support@blinkcodes.com with your order details and the Banglalink number involved. We will look into it and help you sort it out.
You should be able to keep a Banglalink number topped up from anywhere in the world without thinking too hard about it, and the person on the other end should never run out of credit at the worst possible moment.
