How to buy and redeem Destiny 2 gift cards

· · 4 min

What you are actually buying

When you buy a Destiny 2 gift card from our store, you get a digital redemption code for a specific expansion, pack, or bundle. It is not a generic wallet top-up. That matters because you pick the exact content you want at checkout, and the code we email you unlocks that content directly on your platform account. No guessing what to spend it on, no leftover balance sitting there.

We carry codes for Xbox and PC depending on the SKU. Each product page lists the platform clearly, so check that before you pay. I have seen people grab an Xbox code when they meant to buy for Steam. Our support team at support@blinkcodes.com can often help sort it out, but it is a lot easier to just get it right the first time.

The current lineup and approximate prices

Here is what is available right now. Prices are approximate and may shift slightly.

That is the full list. We do not carry every possible SKU, but these cover the main entry points for new and returning players.

How the purchase works

The flow is simple. You browse the Destiny 2 section on our store, pick the expansion or bundle you want, select the correct platform, and check out. Payment goes through our site. Once the transaction clears, we send your redemption code to the email address you gave us at checkout. Most orders arrive within a few minutes. Some take longer during high traffic periods. If you have not received anything after an hour, email support@blinkcodes.com and we will look into it.

Keep that email. The code is the only proof of purchase you need for redemption, and having it handy makes things easier if anything goes wrong on the platform side.

Redeeming your code

For Xbox codes, you have two options. You can enter the code directly on your console by going to the Store, selecting Redeem Code, and typing it in. Or you can go to the Microsoft Store website, sign in with the Xbox account where you play Destiny 2, and redeem there. The content installs automatically the next time you launch the game.

For PC codes, the process depends on the platform. If your code is for the Microsoft Store or Xbox app on PC, the same Microsoft Store redemption page works. If it is a Steam code, open Steam, click Games in the top menu, select Activate a Product on Steam, and paste your code. Steam will confirm what is being added to your library before it finalizes.

One thing to watch for. Destiny 2 content is tied to the platform account you redeem it on. You cannot transfer an expansion from one Xbox account to another, or from Xbox to Steam, after redemption. Make sure you are signed into the right account before you enter that code. I cannot stress this enough. Double-check the email address or gamertag on screen.

Which expansion should you start with

If you are brand new and just want to try the game, the Beyond Light Pack at about 2 USD is a low-risk entry point. You get a full subclass and a patrol zone, which is enough content to decide whether Destiny 2 clicks for you. The Shadowkeep Pack at about 2 USD is similarly cheap and adds another campaign plus the Moon destination.

If you already know you are in for the long haul, The Final Shape at about 28 USD is the narrative payoff most players are chasing right now. Pair it with the Year of Prophecy pass at about 44 USD if you want ongoing episodic content throughout the year. The Ultimate Edition at about 55 USD throws in extras that are mostly cosmetic, so skip it unless you care about that stuff.

The Legacy Collection at about 39 USD makes sense if you skipped multiple expansions and want to catch up in one purchase rather than buying them separately. Do the math. If you only need one or two of the included expansions, buying them individually might actually be cheaper.

If something goes wrong

Codes can occasionally fail to redeem. Usually this means the code was entered incorrectly, or the region of your account does not match the region of the code. Less commonly, a code may have already been redeemed if there was a fulfillment error on our end. In any of these cases, reach out to support@blinkcodes.com with your order number and a screenshot of the error message you got. We will either resolve the issue with the platform or issue a replacement code. A player last week had a region mismatch on an Xbox code and we had them sorted out within a day.
