How to buy and redeem Steam gift cards without the hassle

Why people keep coming back to Steam wallet codes

Steam sales hit differently when your wallet is already loaded. You spot a game at 80% off, you click buy, and there is no card decline, no redirect to your bank app, no two-factor authentication dance. The money is just there. That is the whole appeal of topping up with a wallet code instead of a credit card at checkout.

I have seen plenty of users hesitate at the denominations page, though. The numbers do not always match what you expect because some codes are priced in AED and others in EUR. That trips people up. So let me walk you through what we stock, what it actually costs in USD, and how to get from purchase to playable in the shortest path possible.

What we stock and what it costs

Our store carries Steam wallet codes in several denominations. The AED-priced codes are the most popular because they give you more wallet credit per dollar spent. Here is the full lineup with approximate USD prices at current rates.

Notice the difference. A 20 AED code costs about 5 USD and adds 20 AED worth of credit to your Steam wallet. A 20 EUR code costs about 24 USD and adds 20 EUR. The AED codes give you more purchasing power per dollar, which is why most of our regulars gravitate toward them. The EUR option exists for accounts registered in European regions where AED codes will not redeem.

Prices shift with exchange rates. Treat every figure above as approximate.

Which denomination should you pick

It depends on what you are buying and how your account is set up. If you just want to grab a single indie game during a seasonal sale, a 20 or 40 AED code is plenty. If you are loading up for a big wishlist clearout during the Summer Sale or Winter Sale, the 200 or 400 AED codes make more sense because you avoid buying multiple smaller codes and entering each one separately.

There is also the region question. Steam wallet codes are region-locked. An AED code redeems on accounts set to certain regions, typically Middle Eastern markets. A EUR code redeems on European accounts. If you are unsure which region your account is tied to, check your Steam account details page before buying. The wrong code will not work, and while we can help you troubleshoot, we cannot override Steam's region restrictions.

How to buy a Steam gift card on our store

  1. Open the Steam gift cards category on our store and browse the available denominations.
  2. Click the code you want and add it to your cart.
  3. Review your cart to confirm the denomination and approximate USD price.
  4. Proceed to checkout and enter your payment details.
  5. Complete the payment and wait for your order confirmation email.
  6. Check your inbox for a second email containing the wallet code and redemption instructions.

Most orders deliver the code within a few minutes. If you do not see the email, check your spam folder first, then contact us at support@blinkcodes.com with your order number and we will sort it out.

How to redeem the code on Steam

  1. Open the Steam client on your computer or launch Steam in your browser.
  2. Log in to the account where you want the funds added.
  3. Click your account name in the top right corner and select Account details.
  4. Find the section labeled Add funds to your Steam Wallet and click it.
  5. Enter the code from your email exactly as it appears, including any dashes.
  6. Click Continue and confirm when Steam shows the amount to be added.
  7. Wait for the confirmation message that the funds have been applied to your wallet.

The balance should appear instantly. If Steam rejects the code, double-check that you typed it correctly and that your account region matches the code's currency. Region mismatches are the most common reason a code fails to redeem.

A few things worth knowing before you buy

Steam wallet codes do not expire. If you buy one today and sit on it for six months, it will still redeem at full value. That said, once a code is redeemed to an account, the funds are locked to that account. You cannot transfer Steam wallet balance between accounts, and Steam does not offer refunds on wallet top-ups.

Also worth noting: wallet funds can cover the full price of a game, in-game purchases, DLC, and even items on the Steam Community Market. They cannot be used to buy physical hardware from Steam, and they cannot be converted back to real money. Once the credit is in, it stays in until you spend it.

If you are buying a code as a gift for someone else, just forward the code email to them. They redeem it on their own account using the same steps above. Make sure their account region matches the code currency, or it will not go through.
