How to buy and redeem Twitch gift cards

· · 3 min

Why people use Twitch gift cards

A Twitch gift card is prepaid balance you load onto your account. You spend it on Bits, subscriptions, and gift subs without attaching a credit card or bank card to your profile. That matters if you share an account, want to set a monthly budget, or just prefer not to leave payment details on another platform.

I have seen viewers grab these cards for one reason: gifting subs during a stream. Others buy them because their bank blocks recurring Twitch charges but still allows one-time marketplace purchases. The card gives you a fixed balance and a clean spending ceiling.

What denominations are available

On our store you will find Twitch gift cards in three currencies. Prices are approximate and converted to USD at checkout.

Pick the currency that matches your Twitch account region. A EUR card will not redeem on a US account, and vice versa. If you are unsure which region your account is set to, check your Twitch settings under Location before you buy.

How to buy a Twitch gift card on our store

You choose a card, pay, and get a digital code by email. No physical shipping, no waiting.

  1. Browse the Twitch gift card section and select the denomination and currency you want.
  2. Add the card to your cart and proceed to checkout.
  3. Enter your payment details and complete the purchase.
  4. Check your inbox for an email containing the gift card code and your receipt.
  5. Copy the code so it is ready to paste into Twitch.

If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder first. If it is still missing, write to support@blinkcodes.com and include your order number so we can resend it quickly.

How to redeem the code on Twitch

Redemption happens on the Twitch website. You cannot redeem a gift card from inside the mobile app, so use a browser on desktop or mobile.

  1. Go to twitch.tv and log in to the account that should receive the balance.
  2. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner and select Wallet.
  3. Find the option to add a gift card or redeem a code.
  4. Paste the code you received from us and confirm.
  5. Wait for the confirmation message showing the new balance.

The balance appears immediately in most cases. If Twitch shows an error, double-check that the card currency matches your account region. A mismatch is the most common reason a code gets rejected.

What you can spend the balance on

Once the balance is loaded, Twitch treats it like wallet credit. You can buy Bits to cheer during streams, subscribe to a channel at any tier, or gift subscriptions to other viewers in chat. The balance is applied automatically at checkout before any backup payment method gets charged.

One thing to keep in mind: Twitch gift card balances do not expire, but they also cannot be transferred between accounts or withdrawn as cash. Spend it on the account where you redeemed it.

Region matching is the one detail that trips people up

The single biggest mistake I see is buying a EUR card for a US account or a USD card for a European account. Twitch locks gift cards to the region of the receiving account, and there is no workaround on our end or theirs. The code itself is valid, but Twitch will refuse it.

Before checkout, take ten seconds to confirm your account region. It saves you an email to support and a delay in getting your balance live. If you do hit a problem, reach out to support@blinkcodes.com with your order number and we will help you sort it out, whether that means guiding you through the region check or finding the right card for your account.
