eSIM China

Make sure your device supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. To check, dial *#06# — if an EID number appears in the list, your device supports eSIM. Install the eSIM profile BEFORE entering mainland China: once you cross the border, you will not be able to add a new profile.

After you pay for your order, you will receive an email with a QR code to install the eSIM. Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network — an internet connection is required to download the carrier profile.

Install the eSIM profile through your device settings: • iOS: Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data) → Add Plan → Scan QR Code. • Android (Samsung): Settings → Connections → SIM Manager → Add Plan → Scan QR Code. • Android (Google Pixel): Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add → Download SIM → Scan QR Code. If scanning does not work, enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code from the email manually.

Once the profile is installed successfully, give the new plan a convenient name (for example, "China Travel"). Installation is complete — the eSIM is ready to use. Before you arrive in China, the line status may show as "No Service" — this is normal.

When you arrive in China, go to mobile data settings, select the installed eSIM profile as the data source, and turn on data roaming. The eSIM activates on the first network connection — the plan period starts from that moment.
