eSIM Japan

Make sure your smartphone supports eSIM and is unlocked. You can check by dialing *#06# — if a 32-digit EID number is displayed next to the IMEI, the device is eSIM-compatible.

After payment, you will receive an email with a QR code and installation instructions. Save this email — you will need it during the scanning step.

Connect to Wi-Fi. Open the QR code on another device (laptop, tablet) or print it out, since you need to scan it with the camera of the smartphone on which the eSIM is being installed. On iPhone: "Settings" → "Cellular" → "Add eSIM" → "Use QR Code". On Android: "Settings" → "Network & internet" → "SIMs" → "Add eSIM" → scan the QR code. If scanning is not possible, enter the details manually (SM-DP+ address and activation code from the email).

Wait for the profile to download and install. Assign a label to the new plan (for example, "Japan eSIM"). It is best to activate once you are already in Japan, since the validity period starts from the moment the profile is installed.

After installing the profile, open "Settings" → "Cellular" (or "Mobile Data"), select eSIM Japan as the mobile data source, and enable data roaming for this plan if necessary. Check the network connection.
